LeanBean ("LeanBean", "we", "us") provides a web application that turns process descriptions into Lean process maps and analysis. This policy applies to the LeanBean application at leanbean.cc and related services. By using LeanBean, you agree to the practices described here.
1Who we are
LeanBean is operated as an independent product. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@leanbean.cc. We act as the data controller for the personal information described below.
2Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function:
- Account information. When you sign in (including via Google), we receive your email address and basic profile information such as your name. We use this to create and secure your account.
- Content you create. The process descriptions you enter, files you upload for analysis, the maps and analyses generated, and any business profile details you provide. This is stored so you can return to your work.
- Usage and technical data. Standard information such as the pages you use, approximate region, browser type, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details; we receive only confirmation of your subscription status.
3How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the core service — generating and storing your process maps and analyses.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the application.
- Process subscriptions and manage your plan.
- Communicate with you about service issues or important changes.
4AI processing of your content
To generate analyses, the process content you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the maps, scores, and recommendations you see. This processing happens to fulfil your request. Your content is not used to train AI models. We send only what is needed to produce your result, and we don't retain copies with the AI provider beyond what's required to return your analysis.
5How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run LeanBean, under appropriate safeguards:
- Hosting & storage — our infrastructure and database providers (including Netlify and Supabase) store your account and analyses.
- AI processing — Anthropic, to generate your analyses, as described above.
- Payments — Stripe, to process subscriptions.
- Legal — where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
6Where your data is stored
Your data may be processed and stored in data centres operated by our service providers, which may be located outside your country. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by these providers. If you have questions about a specific region, contact us.
7Data retention
We keep your account information and analyses for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual analyses at any time within the app (available on the Pro plan). When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information and content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations.
8Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Singapore's PDPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@leanbean.cc. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.
9Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.
10Children
LeanBean is a business tool not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
