LeanBean ("LeanBean", "we", "us") provides a web application that turns process descriptions into Lean process maps and analysis. This policy applies to the LeanBean application at leanbean.cc and related services. By using LeanBean, you agree to the practices described here.
1Who we are
LeanBean is provided by JUVO Pte. Ltd., a company incorporated in Singapore. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@leanbean.cc. We act as the data controller for the personal information described below.
2Information we collect
We collect only what the service needs to function:
- Account information. When you sign in (including via Google), we receive your email address and basic profile information such as your name. We use this to create and secure your account.
- Content you create. The process descriptions you enter, files you upload for analysis, the maps and analyses generated, and any business profile details you provide. This is stored so you can return to your work.
- Usage and technical data. Standard information such as the pages you use, approximate region, browser type, and timestamps, used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details; we receive only confirmation of your subscription status.
3How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide the core service — generating and storing your process maps and analyses.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Operate, maintain, debug, and improve the application.
- Process subscriptions and manage your plan.
- Communicate with you about service issues or important changes.
4AI processing of your content
To generate analyses, the process content you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to produce the maps, scores, and recommendations you see. This processing happens to fulfil your request. Your content is not used to train AI models. We send only what is needed to produce your result. Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit it from training models on your content, and it deletes the content it receives within 30 days, unless it must keep it longer to enforce its usage policy or to comply with the law.
5How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run LeanBean, under appropriate safeguards:
- Hosting & storage — our infrastructure and database providers (including Netlify and Supabase) store your account and analyses. Server functions run on Netlify.
- AI processing — Anthropic, to generate your analyses, as described above.
- Payments — Stripe, to process subscriptions.
- Sign-in and fonts — Google, if you choose to sign in with Google (your name and email), and to deliver the web fonts our pages use.
- Legal — where required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Your team — if you join or create a team workspace, the analyses you choose to share into that workspace are visible to the other members of that workspace, according to their role. See the next section.
6Team workspaces
LeanBean lets you work alone in your personal workspace, or join a shared team workspace with colleagues. The two are kept separate:
- Personal work stays personal. Analyses in your personal workspace are visible only to you. They are never shown to a team unless you explicitly share them into a team workspace.
- Shared work is visible to that workspace's members. When you share an analysis into a team workspace (or create one there), the other members of that workspace can see it. What each member can do depends on their role: admins manage the workspace, its members and its billing; editors can create and change shared analyses; viewers can only view them. These limits are enforced by our database, not just the interface.
- One workspace cannot see another. Members of one team workspace cannot see the analyses or members of any other workspace.
- Controller and processor. For the content a team shares inside its workspace, the organisation that owns the workspace is the data controller, and LeanBean (JUVO Pte. Ltd.) acts as its processor — we handle that content on the organisation's instructions to provide the service. For your personal account information, LeanBean remains the controller as described in section 1.
- Deletion in a team. Within a team workspace, only an admin can delete a shared analysis. Removing a member, or a workspace losing its subscription, does not delete the workspace's analyses — they are retained for the organisation. See section 8 on retention.
7Where your data is stored
Your account and saved analyses are stored in Seoul, South Korea. Server functions and AI processing run in the United States. Our providers may process data in other countries too; the full list is on our Trust & Security page. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards offered by these providers. If you have questions about a specific region, contact us.
8Data retention
We keep your account information and analyses for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual analyses at any time within the app (available on the Pro plan). You can also permanently delete your entire account and all its content yourself, at any time, from Account settings → Delete account; this erases your profile, every saved analysis and your login immediately. Where we must retain limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations (for example, billing records required by law), we keep only those for the required period.
Analyses shared in a team workspace belong to that workspace, not to any single member. Deleting your own account, or being removed from a workspace, does not delete the analyses you shared there — they remain with the organisation that owns the workspace, and only a workspace admin can delete them. If a workspace's subscription lapses or is cancelled, its analyses are retained (editors simply lose the ability to make changes) until an admin deletes them or the organisation asks us to.
9Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Singapore's PDPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@leanbean.cc. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.
10Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.
11Children
LeanBean is a business tool not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
